Agathe Bounfour

Oil Program Lead

European Union (Brussels)

Agathe joined T&E in 2022 to develop a new investigative and campaign program on the oil industry. She is particularly interested in connecting the dots between T&E’s vision for transport decarbonisation and the necessary shifts in the energy sector.

Agathe holds significant experience in developing investigative and advocacy programs for environmental NGOs. Prior to joining T&E, she was responsible for Greenpeace France's investigative work, where she notably worked on the opposition networks to wind farms and on disinformation campaigns on climate change.

Agathe was also responsible for transport policy at Climate Action Network France, where she led the advocacy work on both European and French climate regulations. She notably worked to reduce the environmental impact of the car and aviation industries, on modal shift, and on just transition policies. She also worked to strengthen the climate movement in France, developing links between experts and grassroots and social movements.

Agathe holds a Master's in political science and economics from Sciences Po and the London School of Economics. She uses her interest and skills in social science research to strengthen the impact of climate campaigns. In her free time she enjoys music, cycling, hiking, and is currently learning how to dj and stand up on a slackline.
